1  Redline Series / Redline Equalizer / Re: I spent my money...now i want Redline EQ to work! on: November 29, 2010, 02:55:27 PM
We are planning to add a no- or low-latency mode to v2, but because of the way the EQ works internally this is a far from trivial undertaking (and a number of features will have to be disabled in this mode).

When you say it randomly freezes PT, does it do so when interacting with the plugin, or even when you don't touch it at all?  In the latter case what makes you think it's the EQ that's causing the freezes?  And it doesn't crash PT but PT suddenly becomes inresponsive?

1.0.3 does in fact support Win7, the message that the installer displays is by mistake and shdn't be there.

Take care,

I did a little research but no, as far as I can make it out the option of making iTunes DSP plugins is still reserved for a select few companies.

Hi Giuseppe,

sorry to hear about your troubles.  FWIW the latency is not a bug but intentional and inherent to all linear-phase EQs--it is (even theoretically) impossible to make a no-latency linear-phase EQ.

When you say "it is not working at all" could you be a bit more specific?  Does it not show up in the list of plugins, or does it crash, or what?  Without such info it is difficult to troubleshoot.

Thanks,

Interesting... thanks for the report, we're on it.

Thanks much for the detailed info and detective work, this shd allow us to reproduce and fix it here.

For now I recommend resorting to the VST version, but you guessed that already. Smiley

Take care,

6  The Lounge / Anything, anytime, anywhere / Re: Big Blue Compressor on: November 02, 2010, 10:40:26 AM
Thanks for the kind words!  Big Blue Compressor is in late beta, meaning that basically a few bugs need to be ironed out.  Other than that it's ready so we expect--knock on wood--to release within a few weeks at most.

Hope this helps,

7  Redline Series / Redline Reverb / Re: Release version of the 1.0.6 Beta with Mix settings saved? on: October 20, 2010, 09:42:33 AM
Yes, it will.  The reason it hasn't been released yet is that there is another bug that we want to fix first.  With some luck: soon.

No matter what I try I can't reproduce this here.  Could you explain what *exactly* you mean by Recall user preset (from presets, not favourites)?  I have a feeling the key lies somewhere there.
10  Redline Series / Redline Equalizer / Re: redline does not work in windows 7 32 bit on: September 28, 2010, 05:33:23 PM
Did you put the VSTs in AFTER the project loaded and then rescanned for plugins?

Not sure exactly what you mean here? I just loaded the project and that went without any problems, after which I verified that the Redlines were indeed loaded and functional.

A couple of things I can think of: are you running the latest plugin versions?  Another possibility is a compatibility issue between the Redlines and one of the other plugins you're using in the project (most of which I don't have installed on my system)--you could check that by removing all non-Redline plugs from the project and see whether it loads then.

If none of that helps, could you send me the output of Start > All Programs > 112dB > Redline XXX > Troubleshooting > Error Log (for each of the Redlines)?  That might give me something to go on.
11  Redline Series / Redline Reverb / Re: Bug in Logic Pro - "woosh" noise at start of 1st cycle in cycle mode on: September 28, 2010, 04:34:49 PM
Update: still unclear what exactly is happening but at least I managed a workaround, so the next maintenance update will fix this issue.  Thanks much for sending us the problem project!
12  Redline Series / Redline Equalizer / Re: redline does not work in windows 7 32 bit on: September 28, 2010, 11:07:36 AM
Are you 100% sure you sent me the right project file?  It loads perfectly fine here in Cubase 5 (also on Windows 7/32 bit).  If the same project doesn't load on your end, can you tell which of the Redline plugins is the first to cause the issue?

Apologies for the lack of replies and many thanks for the problem project.  We're finally able to reproduce it here so shd be able to fix it, though at first glance it's not clear what's happening.
14  Redline Series / Redline Equalizer / Re: redline does not work in windows 7 32 bit on: September 27, 2010, 11:36:11 AM
TBH I'm not sure what's happening either--I don't think we've come across this issue before.

If you still have one of the original projects that refuse to load and could send it to us (preferably through yousendit.com or a similiar service, I assume it's quite big) that might help troubleshooting.  No need to include any audio files, the Cubase project alone shd suffice.
15  Redline Series / Redline Equalizer / Re: redline does not work in windows 7 32 bit on: September 27, 2010, 09:06:49 AM
There have been a couple of reports about problems with the XP compatibility mode and we're looking into it--I'm not sure why you enabled it in the first place but if at all possible I suggest you indeed turn that thing off.

On the other hand the "Run as admin" option shdn't be necessary, at least not for our plugins.  Or is it intended for something Cubase related?

Oh and I just noticed that you're running Cubase 5.1--there have been some serious incompatibility issues with that version that were fixed in 5.5, so best update ASAP.
