Attenuation in Logic Pro?
« on: August 16, 2009, 06:27:38 AM »
Hi dj -

After updating to 1.0.1, I still have an issue with attenuation in Logic Pro.  Here's my simple test:

1) Import an Apple loop to an audio track.
2) Cycle-play the loop; note the peak level of the signal
3) Insert Redline EQ; note peak levels

For anything that I've tried this on (including standard audio that I've personally recorded), I get 2.5dB of loss on the signal.  None of the plug-in features/EQ nodes have to be active.  It just attenuates the signal.  Auto-gain, of course, is active.

I've had others confirm this is the case on their systems, as well.

Otherwise, 112dB is REALLY on a roll with this redline series.  The sound quality and usefulness of the plugs can't be overstated!   ;D

Any suggestions?
JG

Confirmed & fixed in the upcoming maintenance release.  I messed smt up when repairing the initial -6.0 dB level drop, duh.  :-[

Thanks for the report!
