Hi DJ

I haver a comment on the color of the new Blue Limiter...
Hope that s OK...  Wink

I suggest you keep the silver-colored knots/buttons like you have in the Redline's.
Think it will make it look more stylish.

The 'yellowish' color in the Blue Limiter looks just dirty...if you know what I mean...

Cheers

-1 Wink

First of all, thanks much for the feedback--both positive and negative comments are highly appreciated.  We do like to hear what people think as it's the best way to keep improving our act.

As for the new Big Blue look... well, what can I say?  From the reactions I've seen so far it seems to be one of those "you either love it or hate it" things.  I for one am firmly in the former camp, but if you're in the latter: don't worry, the first maintenance release will add a "modern" skin.  Just a small teaser for now:

Take care,

I just picked up the limiter and love the original skin, but that's just me. Would have liked to have seen a few presets included with it, not that I'm a preset user but I like to see how the programmers set all the values since every plug in is so different. Also presets are made with perfect recordings which is a rare occurance lately. But like stated, nobody knows their product better than the developers so a few presets would have been nice to reference. Smiley

Interface suggestion :

A modifier+mouse combo that takes down the ceiling when the driver and the limiter threshold is taken down.

The classic problem of limiting is judging the sonic effects, not the loudness. This is why even Aleksey of Voxengo fame put this facility in to his Elephant plugin(right-click and drag), never mind the dragable  link button on all of Waves Lx range.

If I want to crunch or colour a signal I want to hear the effects, and not have my judgement clouded by a loudness boost. Instead of having to operate two control after one another, I'd like to operate one, because unlike external hardware I only have one mouse pointer, not two hands.

A comment on getting the demo license. Send the user to the page where he/she can request the demo license when you try to download the demo from the download page. I spent 10 minutes figuring out how to get a demo license until I found the page where I can request it. That could mean lost sales fellas.

Back to testing for me.
