Release version of the 1.0.6 Beta with Mix settings saved?
« on: October 19, 2010, 10:09:20 PM »
Hello again from Minnesota. We have the beta version 1.0.6 which fixed the issue of Mix settings not being saved in Sony Vegas.

Will the 1.0.6 become a full release with this very helpful fix?

Thanks much!

Yes, it will.  The reason it hasn't been released yet is that there is another bug that we want to fix first.  With some luck: soon.

I bought Redline Reverb about 3 months ago and have been loving the fine sound and fine level of control it has to offer.  Great job!

It's great to hear that a new release is in the works.  I emailed support regarding the plugin not updating the host when changing presets, but haven't heard anything back.  If this bug could be squashed, that would make my day.

I'd be more than happy to help BETA test if you're looking for help.

Here's a copy of my email.

Hi, I'm writing about an issue I uncovered in Redline Reverb 1.0.3 for Windows.

The problem is related to the using 'host automation' to control the
plugin with a MIDI controller.  When switching presets via the GUI,
the plugin isn't updating its host with the new values of Redline
Reverb's parameters.

For example, let's say the we turn the Decay all the way to zero, and
then select a preset via the GUI.  The value of the Decay changes on
the GUI, but the host is not aware of the change and it thinks that
the Decay is still set to zero.  Consequently, any MIDI controllers
connected to the host's automation will not show the correct values.

Here's a Jing video a created illustrating the issue.

I ran across this same issue in a plugin I'm developing.  The solution was to call setParameterAutomated after changing presets as opposed to setParameter.
