I am a very recent arrival using these tools, and this preamp has literally blown me away.
It's like finding the fabled "missing link" between my usual input setup of a UAD Studer A800 into a Slate Digital VCC where it now sits very nicely between the Studer & the VCC when needed.
It is also interesting to listen to it's effect when used as third insert too - this changes everything, especially if used after VCC and before a really nice console EQ.

A seriously great addition to the arsenal.
